Nathaniel Hawthorne was an American novelist, a dark romantic, and short story writer. Tanglewood Tales are incomparable retellings of Greek myths. And stories in A Wonder-Book for Girls and Boys are all stories within an another story. Williams College student, Eustace Bright, is telling these tales to a group of children at Tanglewood, an area in Lenox, Massachusetts. All the tales are modified from the original myths. This volume also includes such an amazing three tales as Fanshawe, The Snow-Image and The New Adam and Eve.
