The Innocents Abroad

The Innocents Abroad is Mark Twain's humorous narrative of his own travels across Europe. It began life as a series of newspaper columns narrating the voyage of the USS Quaker City. The acclaimed travelogue brought worldwide fame to its author and featured his comical depictions of his encounters at the 1867 Paris Exhibition, his experiences along the Mediterranean Coast, and his journey through the Holy Land.
